Tornadoes Stuns Sunshine Stars In Minna!

 

Niger Tornadoes delivered a thrilling performance, defeating Sunshine Stars 4-1 in their NPFL MD17 tie at the Bako Kontagora Stadium. The Ikon Allah Boys dominated the game, with Enerst Onyeka leading the charge.

Onyeka scored the first goal in the 3rd minute, followed by a second goal courtesy of Abdulrasheed Dabai. Onyeka then set up Joseph Godstime for the third goal, leaving Sunshine Stars reeling. The fourth goal came from Abba Khalid, securing a comfortable lead for the hosts.

Sunshine Stars managed to pull one back through Sodiq Ibrahim in the 71st minute, but it was too little, too late. Niger Tornadoes' Technical Adviser, Majin Mohammed, praised his team's collective effort, stating that the victory was a result of hard work from the management, coaches, and players.¹

Onyeka was awarded the best player of the game for his outstanding contributions, scoring a goal and providing two assists.
